RU-486 kills the growing baby by starving him or her of progesterone; however, Dr. Harrison and his colleagues discovered that progesterone injections could help save the baby.

Interesting and wonderful indeed. It sounds like the mother received progesterone injections every other day for the entire first trimester. But, it worked and the baby girl was born healthy and continues to be well at 12 years old.
