The framers did not fathom that basic human civility and fairness could ever become so immoral and criminal as to completely ignore what they were framing altogether.

Unfortunately it looks like it might have to be the people... They have gone all in with a hail Mary play and we are now the only real check and balance defense remaining. There are no more referees left to referee the referees in this game.
