I’m not convinced that a ‘stronger nato’ is either necessary or desirable. But, a nato where the protected nations pay their fair shares for nato’s defense... yes!
And getting Turkey OUT is essential, rather than providing a strong southern buttress as intended, Turkey turns out to be our Achilles’ heel (basically, an enemy within our tent).
Yes, it looked like it might have developed into a worthwhile arrangement but the IslamoNazi style of the current Turkish government is unacceptable and we mustn’t get trapped trying to rely on it for anything

Poland and Hungary appear to be worth standing up for. Don’t know about the others. WW2 was between the Krauts and the Russians. Poland got divided. Next thing you know GB and the surrender monkeys start a war. A war starts when someone fights back. Most of Nato will fight to the last Pole/Hungarian.

I recall reading the James Bond book (From Russia, with Love), where he was partnered with a Turkish Intelligence officer who had about 10 wives and 40 sons.

Bond, of course, was unmarried and did not have any children.

At the time I thought... This does not bode well for the future of Europe...

That book was written in 1956.
