To me that is a big indicator of a Troll posting against a person Trump trusts
If he was not trustworthy Trump would not position him as his running mate on the ticket

Who should be held accountable. In the U.S. military often leaders are held accountable for what their subordinates are doing. Even though the Leader is great his subordinates are undermining the mission. So someone is held accountable.
Case in point, think of tail hook scandal. The Navy Secretary resigned over it, and he was not even there. Ditto with many Admirals who were not even in Vegas.
The only reason I am pointing this out is because it is well known incident. That was not an anomaly move too. It happens often in all the branches. It is why I left the military. Your career can easily be ruined by circumstances that are completely out of your control.
It is too bad congress is not held to the same standard.
