Constitutional Republic, based on democracy, but not on direct democracy.

Do you understand that democratic elements in a Constitutional Republic do not make a Constitutional Republic a democracy?

And a HUGE FYI/clue...a Constitutional Republic is based on a Constitution, thus Constitutional Republic.
Is that too hard of a concept for you to grasp?

Being a Constitutional Republic is a form of government. OUR Constitutional Republic is based on the freedoms that are expected in a democracy. The principles of democracy are what our Constitutional Democracy is based on.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident...” does not create a Constitutional Republic; it serves to begin the definition of what follows, which is a Constitutional Republic. It is possible to have a ‘constitutional republic’ not based on the freedoms that a democracy defines.

We won’t have a Constitution long when even conservatives think it’s mean to disqualify the children of foreign nationals from being President just because the Constitution says so......../s
