Constitutional Republic based uppn law.

...not based on democracy.

Laws are created to protect and preserve freedoms, which are all encompassed under the title of 'democratic principles'.

Under your definition, laws can be passed to protect a government and not protect the citizenry. In fact, there are governments which are based on laws that have no protections for democracy or freedoms.

In a democracy, the people decide, and the government follows. Where the government doesn't OBEY the wishes of the people, freedoms are soon lost. IOW, the democracy in a country also disappears. In a direct democracy, where the majority rules, the freedoms of the minority can be lost and not protected.

There are countries that define themselves as 'republic', and they also have constitutions and written laws, but, they are not 'constitutional republics' as we understand ours to be, since, we cherish our freedoms and our way of making decisions via 'democratic' principles, including the right to elect those we wish to lead us.

All ‘animals’ including human beings, are born free, until they meet up with governmental rules and regulations. I have no problem with being an animal; after all, that’s what God created us to be.

Democracy doesn’t have to be mentioned in any article or set of laws, in order for ‘democracy’ to be how we live our lives. Democracy is how we decide who and what and where and when; example, electing our ‘leaders’.

We have a democracy, but live under the Constitutional Republic created by our founding fathers, and the guaranteed freedoms laid out under out bill-of-rights.

So God is an animal too?
He must be, according to you, since man was created in His image.

Once again the issue is first principles.

"His image" is what the bible writers wrote. However, image can be taken to mean anything, including having a soul or highly-developed 'thinking' capacity.

The bible was written long ago, and rewritten and interpreted and reinterpreted and even rewritten again to conform to the reinterpretations.

Can't take everything literally.

However, if God did create us in "His image", and was/is himself an animal, I have no problem being like "Him".

Now you can’t even define your first principles and have to resort to obfuscation.

My first principles? Obfuscation?

I'm pretty clear in my statements and opinions.

You, on the other hand, are confusing.

https://themarketswork.com/2018/03/11/victor-pinchuk-the-clintons-endless-connections/

Oleg Deripensky, a Russian oligarch once linked to Paul Manafort, published an Op-Ed in which he made the claim that George Soros was helping fund Fusion GPS.

He also highlighted a conversation between Senator Sheldon Whitehouse and Victoria Nuland at the Munich Security Conference in February 2018.

I highlighted Nuland’s role in structuring the Ukrainian government in 2014.

I don’t know about the Soros connection but I did find the Whitehouse-Nuland conversation (Video is queued):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1590&v=MOAIPRy5CkY&feature=emb_logo

WHITEHOUSE: Even in an area [Climate Change] where the administration has carved out perhaps the most irresponsible position it could, on an issue of global significance, nevertheless you can’t really resist the pressure of fact and science – and I guess what the Breitbart crowd would call the Deep State – but what many of us would call knowledgeable professionals who’ve given their lives to these things and actually know what they’re talking about…

…So even on that worst of all issues there’s still a hope for continuity – at least in the Deep State.

Note John Kerry smiling and applauding in the crowd.

NULAND: Well colleagues, you’ve now heard our bi-partisan, bicameral panel of Deep State crowd loyalists give broad reassurance about continuity in U.S. leadership and in U.S. policy overall.

For the record, Sheldon Whitehouse is a blithering idiot.

Continue watching the video a moment longer to see Ex-Representative Jane Harman pay homage to John McCain:

HARMAN: His voice, his presence, was instrumental in training generations of members of the U.S. Congress on foreign policy issues.

NULAND: And the U.S. State Department…

HARMAN: And the U.S. State Department too. He had his favorites, you being one Victoria.

Constitutional Republic based uppn law.

...not based on democracy.

You miss quoted me and thereby created a false premise up which you replied.

I said based upon law.
I didn’t say based upon laws.

Our republic is based upon law. the constitution, which restricts government. All other laws are measured by what the constitution says and weighed against the constitution as judged by the Judiciary.

The ONLY democratic part of our nation is electing our representatives.

You’re a jerk. Just nitpicking something that you know full well that is just an expression. Beck probably knows more about the Republic than you can ever imagine.

Law and democracy.

Can’t have one without the other.

Laws exist in despotic states.

Our laws follow the constitution and our bill of rights. Our laws depend upon the people, which is what democracy is about.

The people decide, therefore, it’s a democracy. It’s a Constitutional Republic dependent upon the people, the people deciding via democracy.

“Is Glenn back on the Trump bandwagon ?”

Yes, Trump won him over. Although he can still be critical of him now & then. No one is above criticism.

I may be a jerk, but that comment right there proves that you're an idiot because it isn't "just an expression".
