Alexander of Macedonia spent three years ‘pacifying’ what is now Afghanistan. That was the longest operation segment of his campaign to India, Even then he made a deal with the most powerful tribal group that they wouldn't attack the Greeks he was leaving to garrison the delightful place and he would marry the chiefs daughter (Roxanne) and a lot of his officers and soldiers would marry tribal girls. Surprisingly, the Greeks created a kingdom (Bactria) that existed for about two hundred years. The tribals liked both some things the Greeks had , like wine and appreciated the Macedonian garrison for its ability and willingness to kick ass if any of the outer tribes tried to raid their country.

There are only 3 options for the M.E. that will work:
1) Remove Our Personnel and Equipment [Military,CIA,CIVILIAN,K-9,ALL] from the Crap hole that is called Afghanistan and the Sandbox.
2) Leave them alone in every aspect.
3) NUKE THE CRAP HOLE and come back in 200 years with a Dozer and make it a Resort Beach.

There is no good reason to have US forces in Afghanistan.
None.

I’m sorry. It was with the article I found. Nevertheless, I was able to have direct conversation with someone in that area and received reassurance.

no big deal. I just remember seeing that photo before.
Seems to happen alot, trying to strengthen a current story with an old photo and not identifying it as a file photo.
Drudge had a picture of cut a border wall that went along with a recent story that the wall can be easily cut.(to this day, that hasn’t been verified). I also recognized that photo and chased it.
The picture was from a while ago, when the U.S. was still determining which prototypes would make the cut to the next selection round.
