More businesses are working 24/7 these days.

The furbabies can’t read the clock. They get up when the sun comes up. My alarm is them.

Wrong the days are still 24 hours per day.
Our daylight time gets shorter.

Thats a mighty tasty way of cooking steaks on the stove top! 🐮❄️🥩. Ive cooked stove top steak every now and then with my cast iron skillet but Im sure your technique is better than mine.

I don't really care about all this talk of grilling steaks in the snow or having more time to do drink beer on the patio or whatever.
No where in the vanity or in any of the comments does anybody explain what to I do with the clock tonight when I go to bed?
If I go to bed at 11:00 PM, do I turn the hands on the clock to 10:00 PM or to 12:00 AM?
Thanks in advance to anybody who can provide the answer for me. :-)

In a household with cats, I despise the switch back to standard time. Rather than being able to sleep until at least 6am before the cats start with the morning ritual of waking me up to be fed, they'll now start at what will be 5am tomorrow.
The only saving grace is we're now retired. When I worked, I needed to be up by 5am to get to work by 6am. The days right after the switch back to standard time our cats would start with the morning wake-up ritual at 4am. While most people feel like they "gain" extra sleep the first few weeks after the clock change, I wasn't as lucky in years past.

That’s crazy. Changing the clocks forward or backward does not by a second alter the duration of day and night.

It is “Daylight Saving Time”, and does nothing to change the length of daylight hours. I prefer the daylight in the morning. Stay on standard time year round.

DST also changes the time stamps on your posts to conform with everyone else.

No, there was no year round DST in the 70s. You must have been on drugs or living in a state like parts of Indiana or Arizona where they don’t change their clocks.

"one of my favorite times of the year is getting an extra hour of sleep due to giving back the extra hour of daylight that we got back in April."
Do you really get an extra hour of sleep? I haven't been keeping track year after year but I still seem to be waking up at about the same time on the first Sunday of the end of Daylight Savings Time.
