They are NOT your “Christian brothers and sisters”.
To me, one of the most profound statements in the bible is
Matthew 7:13-14 NIV (As spoken by Jesus Himself (red letters))
13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction” (hell)
“and many enter through it.” Think of “many” as a per cent. What is “many” to you? 10%?, no. 30%?, no. 50%? at least.
“But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life” (eternal life in heaven with Christ).
“and only a few find it.” Think of “a few” as a per cent. What is “a few” to you? 3%?, 5%?, 10%?, Certainly no more than 10%.
I was taught that a “couple” was two and a few was three. Taken together that 50% number seems way too generous. 75% seems more realistic.
Being VERY generous, 75% of people are going to hell and only 25% will be “saved”. (I’ll stick with 3%).
So, many/most of the people you consider “Christian brothers and sisters” are neither.
Hell will be a VERY crowded place, Heaven, not so much.
They are still your Christian brothers and sisters. They may not enter heaven as you may not. It is not for us to decide who enters and who does not. Be Christ like in your dealing with others.
BTW! Those numbers and guestimates you throw around are not Biblical.
I tend, very strongly, to agree with you, but I do not have the particular knowledge to specifically state whether they are actually Christian or not. I can only be sure about myself, and strong faith in the beliefs of those around me.
However, whether they are truly Christian or not, they will answer to God for their support of a truly heinous evil and truly heinous stain on our country.
