As a deaf in one ear individual from birth, I found this heartwarming to the max. Brought a tear for sure.
Too bad for me a hearing aid won’t work on my problem, but I think I’ve done well despite of that.
Do you have anything that resembles a life besides your all-out campaign against blogs here?
Seriously, you’re a drag.
I move a lot of bricks for El Chapo.
You?
How bad was your hearing, before getting the implants?
What kind of loss, high frequency?
With hearing aids, I’m at -45dB, the point at which one would desperately -need- hearing aids.
Medicare refused me my first implant, and the Dr. and his staff went to fight for me and We Won..took six months...Medicare even sent me a letter to say they reconsidered my request. and approved it...
I would suggest you ask your ENT Dr. about implants..they have become so advanced now...I get a check up once a year. where my processors are inspected, and re-programed as needed...I carry a small remote control to adjust volume have four programs in them...and the one I like the best is soft and quiet, where out side noises are programed out...especially when driving on long trips..very comfortable .
My adult son is a Medical Illustrator, and he was with me at the time of surgery, drawing me picture's as what would be taking place.. it is a long surgery four hrs..recovery was not difficult
I have been hearing impaired since birth.
Learned to read lips at 6.
Got my first hearing aid when I was 9.
Second one when I was 20.
That was 42 years ago.
When I asked about cochlear implants 3 years ago, they said my work insurance would pay.
But come time for the upgrade, work insurance wouldn’t pay.
Upgrade is $10,000.
And the implants would trash what’s left of my hearing- the low frequencies- and I’d still have a hearing aid attached to the magnetic pickup.
Dude, really???
Come on man. This is a nice story for a change.
Not everything falls into the BlogKiller category.
I see a whole lot of typing, and not a lot of trafficking.
He posts his own stuff.

He’s excerpting to provide himself traffic.
The content is irrelevant, the behavior is at issue.
Yeah, you're not supposed to see it.
That's kind of the whole point.
“Not everything falls into the BlogKiller category.”
He’s a $h!tbird, but he’s OUR $h!tbird.
Love the HG.
