For the past week I’ve been thinking that there’s too much media attention surrounding the House GOP, and not enough attention on the Senate. President Trump’s impeachment in the House seems inevitable at this point. The question is what the Senate will decide to do. I’m clearly far from the only one thinking this way. Fox’s Laura Ingraham led her Tuesday night show by saying “this is McConnell’s moment.”
Ingraham was pressuring the Senate Majority Leader to defend Trump — and she said she hoped he was listening. He needs to stand up to “the Democrats’ political reign of terror,” Ingraham said.
“He needs to show the American people that the GOP stands united behind the man that they elected to lead this country, run our foreign policy, help advance our economy,” she said. “McConnell needs to make sure that every Republican keeps pressure on Pelosi, Schiff and Schumer. His resolution with Lindsey Graham was a very good start.”
Looking ahead to the likely Senate trial, “McConnell must also stop acting like his hands are tied,” Ingraham continued. She suggested that the rules should be updated: “These times require extraordinary measures.” She also said McConnell “can and should push for a blisteringly short impeachment trial, giving Democrats maybe an afternoon to put on their sham case. I think that’s too generous.” Her point: “Republicans in the Senate need to step up or get out.”

He should tell Nancy that if the House does not conduct a bipartisan process that respects both sides, and allows a vigorous defense, then it will go straight in the circular file. Call it what it is, a kangaroo court, and tell her to fix it or it’s DOA.

As for Mitch McConnell he can end this “Impeachment” farce...like right now. He just needs a backbone and he as the Majority Leader in the Senate needs to demand the votes of Collins, Murkowski & that low life, traitor, Mitt Romney. Don’t ask these turn coats for their votes, demand that they deliver them the way you have requested. We the American voters are watching Mitch McConnell!!! Mitch call the Senate together today and kill this Democrat farce....right now!!! Shucks, ya may even pickup the vote of Democrat Joe Manchin!!!
McConnell, this is the last breath of Pelosi and her Democrat Party. They are not only fighting to kill Trump as POTUS...but, more importantly they are fighting to keep the Democrat Party alive. This underhanded caper of hers is their last straw to remain as a viable political force...so, Mitch, get in there and destroy them politically right now!!! DO IT!!!

The last time he was up for reelection he knew he was going to get primaried so he teamed up with the Kentucky Democrats and got them to cross over and vote for him. It was a pretty famous dirty trick at the time, mostly forgotten now but you wonder what he did to repay the Democrat's favor.

Pols have no successful business of their own, only what they take from you. All of them.
If we want to keep the Senate then senators in vulnerable seats need to be allowed some room to maneuver. I don't think Kavenaugh would not be on the SCOTUS if it were not for Collins. She delivers when the caucus needs her. If she needs to oppose the President to get reelected then so be it. Do you want to keep the Senate or give democrats a talking point.
McConnell is trying to appear impartial so that when he exonerates the President the attacks on Republicans by the MSM will appear hypocritical.

I mean, while everyone was chasing look squirrels, the federal bench got upended and President Trump flipped the 9th.

As a Kentucky resident I called his office and demanded that he support the president 100%. Like he gives a damn what I think.
