I dont believe there has been one recent war that CNN and other major media outlets have not supported.
They supported the War in Iraq, supported Obama bombing Libya and Yemen, and desperately want us to stay in Syria. The media supported the disastrous Arab Spring under Obama as well.
They are willing to smear a Democrat of their own, Tulsi Gabbard, by evoking the Russian spy boogeyman and in a one two punch Pelosi did practically the same thing bringing up Putin concerning Trump. No war is too small that Trump will not be attacked over.
Many media (I don't thonk it is CNN, yet) are using pics of kids hurting in Syria in order to keep us in Syria; they smear people, hold congressional votes on this against Trump, and are willing to put our troops in between Turkey and the Kurds, when all of a sudden the suddenly forgotten UN peacekeeping troops can't do the job when they have acted for years like they can do anything.
Syria is such a small country. This is more than Russia getting a foothold in that area as they have other footholds nearby.
Another vanity, but this is clear as day that when Trump pretty much said things were going to change when he was debating Jeb Bush and others on stage the media largely did not like it even then.
No, they didn't.
In fact, they did everything they could to undermine it. They had a meltdown of epic proportions over misbehaving soldiers at abu Ghraibh; they gleefully joined the Joe Wilson hoax; they assisted in railroading Scooter Libby; they ignored huge stocks of precursor chemicals and claimed they were roach spray; they mobbed Steven Hatfill in their haste to frame him for the anthrax attacks because some Cuban-trained communist who wrote for Red Flags Weekly falsely accused him of being a racist and claimed he was responsible for an alleged biological attack in Rhodesia; they created their own ‘secret prison’ and tried to use it as a prop for bleedinghearts; ... it went on and on.
Baloney CNN didn’t. They turned on it and Bush when things soured later on.
Again, CNN didn’t turn on Bush Jr. until later on when things soured and after they thought the public had turned against it.
I remember for months flipping back and forth between Fox News and CNN and occasionally MSNBC to try and discern the networks reactions.
CNN was not as anti Iraq War as you think.
And the media to some degree was not happy when Trump hammered Jeb over the Iraq War.
As long as the people’s who love the USA ate dying CNN is happy. Face it only citizens that love this country volunteer for the military.
