All the issues with them corrupting marriage etc were kept under wraps by keeping homosexual acts illegal.

Even if poorly enforced those laws did good service.

Those laws had many unintended consequences, for instance encouraging gay men to stay in the closet and marry women while doing nothing to change the underlying homosexuality. This led to many sham marriages in which the woman found out after years of marriage and sometimes a few kids that her husband was gay or bisexual. Usually after contracting an STD from her husband. I believe women are better off knowing who’s normal and who’s not, who is potential husband material and who is better off as a shopping partner, so that they can make an informed decision.

My heterosexual marriage has not been corrupted by the legalization of homosexuality or of same-sex “marriage”. Neither, I would wager, has any other Freeper’s marriage. Because destroying something as beautiful as the love between a man and a woman is beyond the homosexuals’ power. And I am far more afraid of a government that thinks it has the right to regulate private sexual conduct of adults than I am of limp-wristed soyboys! As Ronald Reagan said, “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.’”.
