The strategy is to get the hearings no matter what it takes, like those who made accusations against Kavanaugh, and then hope that when the chips fall you can make hay.
The “whistleblowers” may be willing to sacrifice their reputations and their careers, but if the protections hold, then they don’t even risk that much.... but the reward is bagging the big elephant
They wanted to out the other guy who did not want to lose his job. The first guy was just to get the second guy to go on record.
Because if the second one doesn’t come out he could be prosecuted. Which probably was the point.
The whistleblowers are no longer whistleblowers. They are just 2 guys out of 330 million American people expressing an opinion, in this case, a partisan one.
