The thing is her ‘cover’ issue was incredibly overblown.
She had ‘nominal’ cover. Not deep cover.
Nominal cover folks are not spies or doing incredibly dangerous things. They are not doing anything that requires deep cover. If they did, they would have deep cover.
Nominal cover is minimal cover that if anyone does any sort of thorough investigation, will not stand up to hard scrutiny.
To say she was outed is laughable. Her own husband let it slip out.
But, but, but she promoted herself as JANE BOND.
