They decided that the drip, drip, drip worked against them, so this time, they intend to ‘focus’ and get it done quickly, before people acclimatize to the accusations/counter punches.

I’m guessing their strategy is to impeach, and after the Senate acquits they will claim, “You can’t vote for this guy, he’s obviously a criminal and his party is protecting him, blah blah blah.” The media will assist.
It’s a dangerous strategy that could go either way, they know that too.
But it’s their only chance to back the White House so they will do it. Pelosi has just been waiting for the right timing. This has been the plan since Mueller took a knee.
