Guns are pretty useless.
The key target in a civil war is the stock market.
The best weapon is personal austerity.

The blunderbuss was a shotgun type arm.

Great find, Diana!
I sent this essay to my email buddies a few minutes ago.
Here is how I prefaced the essay:
“The “money” sentence of this essay is “The idea that the government has no business infringing on the liberty of the people is the basis for the Second Amendment.”
“My contention is that were there no Second Amendment, the rest of the Constitution would have been “inFRinged” by now, BIGLY!
“The Evil Inside The Beltway establishment elitists [e.g., “The Swamp!]want our guns so they can nullify other parts of the Constitution!
“You can take that to the bank!
“We MUST NOT let them take our Second Amendment!”

"If we are going to be logically honest and constitutionally consistent, the only legally possible solution to implementing any type of gun control is to amend the Constitution as to restrict our right to bear arms."
Well, not quite. As stated earlier in the article,...
"The Bill of Rights and every amendment succeeding it, is worded in a very specific manner. They are not a permission of rights, but instead protections of rights already possessed. The Constitution was designed to restrict government. Thats why the phrase shall not be infringed is the catalyst for every right. There are no ifs, ands, or buts. There are no caveats. There are no prerequisites (besides being a law-abiding citizen)."
They can't legally paper over the right to keep and bear arms. Well done, though. Great article!
