What's unfair is labeling Bolton a nee-con when he is actually a hawk. There is a huge difference between the two.

And, just about everyone, even most prominent Democrats were behind the Iraq war at one time.

Bolton was not a hawk. Reagan was a hawk, he favored a strong defense but didn’t actually start any wars , unlike what warmonger Bolton wanted to do.

What do you think Reagan did to Libya after a terrorist attack? He took bombed it.

Reagan also funnel weapons to the contras in Nicaragua to combat communists there.

He also armed and financed the mujahideen, in Afghanistan from 1979 to 1989 to undermine the Soviets.

Any problem any of that?

No problem with any of that, none of which was an invasion. It was totally different from the all-out wars that Bolton advocated for. Reagan started no wars
