I thought
Wauconda was a name from;

“Fried Green Tomatoes.”
.
“Curl up and Die”
is the Beauty Parlour
in “the Blues Brothers.”
Just wanted to share
That as I’m Watching it
Right now.
I have no idea where
“Wauconda” is mentioned...
Or shown unless
It’s “ Illinois Nazi’s.”

It’s towards the end of the movie. They drive by a lake that has all kinds of really slides and other things in the water to play on. The town’s name isn’t mentioned but the beach with all stuff used to be called Phil’s Beach and the lake is Bangs Lake. Most of it’s gone now.

Wauconda used to be a summer vacation spot for Chicago—might still be for all I know.
