No, doesn’t seem to be the case. This was discovered in 1934 and the technology apparently didn’t exist then to create that metal. There are other scattered findings around the world. I wonder if more was found in Texas?
Go to youtube and search on “out of place artifacts”. Also called OOP. Some of it is silly, and some of it is dead serious. The latter can be quite fascinating sometimes.
Hammer design is just like those in our small local museum from the late 1800’s-early 1900’s. Somebody had a rock-walled shop and hung the hammer in the rock.
Actually there are a number of similar anomalies i.e. modern items in places they should not be, such as a watch found in an archaeological site and several objects encased in rock like this hammer. Some, like the watch are definitely not so old as the surroundings because the clock system would be different were it really that old but there is no evidence for any logical explanation. Science has not necessarily explained so much as had seemed settled and accepted. Consider the changes in archaeology over the last half century.
