-- Our laws are only meaningful when you are a peasant. --

True that. has always been so. But the recent misbeahvior by the government illuminates another fact of law.

It is illgal for the peasants to use force to change or overthrow the government, but it is NOT illgeal for the government to overthrow the peasants.

If any laws were broken, and I doubt they were, it was for lying to the court. The government lises to the court all the time, and the most severe remedy is to dismiss the case.

Not sure to what you are referring when you say that you doubt any laws were broken but for lying to the [FISA] court.

A lie (a willful intent to deceive) should not go unpunished, whether by legal (prosecution) or other means (loss of job, pension, loss of reputation, etc) for government lies. Those in highest echelons should be held at a higher standard. Those who are entrusted with maintaining the integrity of our institutions cannot turn a blind eye. There has to be practical, well-defined limits to what can be prosecuted however . . . whether a defendant or prosecution. Else, every trial or hearing right down to traffic tickets would open up a new can of worms. Part of the problem is that our citizens, society and its institutions don’t agree universally that what has happened here to POTUS is a cause of serious concern. Rather, the ends justifies the means, the means to acquire and maintain power, money and destroy a man who was elected POTUS.
