There is a small slice of the American populace who, by their own admission, are exhausted.
No, I do not refer to new moms caring for cranky infants or emergency room nurses working the night shift or tactical officers patrolling the ’hood or farmers plowing their soybean crops.
Our bone-weary countrymen populate opinion magazines, newsrooms, editorial boards, and cable networks up and down the Acela corridor. Their fingertips, nearly stripped of all flesh from excessive tweeting, have lost agility. Heads droop over coffee-stained laptops; they can’t even muster enough energy to brush off the morning’s donut crumbs from the keyboard.
Cognitive fatigue has set in: “How do you spell Haberman again,” they mumble to themselves as they struggle to search the pages of the New York Times. Slippered feet shuffle aimlessly under the desk of their home office. Makeup artists in the MSNBC green room desperately try to conceal dark circles sagging under the eyes of barely-functioning hosts and guests.

Keep in mind that all these people are PAID to destroy republicans, and especially conseratives. It's what they get up every day to do.
And for the first time in a very long time, they are being battled...and they can't take it.
Trump is (and has always been) a New York brawler. He doesn't slink away from a fight like a Mitt Romney, or join the other side because the fight's too hard like a John McCain.
Trump revels in the fight, and draws strength from it.
And he is exhausting the enemy.

I became interested in the Prez way back when he ‘repaired’ the Wolman (sp) ice skating rink in NYC. I knew he was a fighter and began to followed him from that point.
As a young infantryman in Viet Nam I discovered something they don’t teach...you can not be on guard (and afraid) 24/7. It is exhausting. You learn to relax when you can and put the thought of death and destruction out of your mind until needed.
The left (and never Trumpers) have been on a 24/7 hate fest for over three years, of course they are exhausted. They are also feeling frustrated that nothing they do seems to matter.
All the old tricks, tactics and naming calling have achieved nothing.
But word of caution, this is when they will become the most dangerous. They are losing their ability to think rationally and at some point their anger and frustration may turn violent.
I want them arrested and prosecuted for an attempted coup d'état against an elected President, and the against the will of the American people.
But, we can see where this is going. No one is going to be arrested. No one is going to be charged. No one is going to prison.
Unfortunately, you are correct.
No one will be arrested, or pay the price for this.
Maybe failure of the legal system is the better outcome.
Right now the legal system is being used to defeat the political process, to defeat Trump and stifle his policy. This is dangeorus, as once the political process fails, the only remedy left to the people is revolution.
If the legal system puts up a few scalps, it will also claim to have cleansed itself. This is a lie, but an effective one. The lie has been used by the government time and again to mollify the public.
FISA, so unfettered snooping is curtailed. Opposite occurred. Church commission, same idea, same lie.
Putting Comey, McCabe, Brennan, Lynch, Rosenstein, Boente, Strzok, Page, and all the others who lied to the FISA court in jail will not fix what's broken.
Better, I think, the people become enlightened that Congress, the courts, and the entire legal system are being operated so as to stifle the political process.

Even the author doesn't quite get it. "Many Republicans" include our nice cute furry stab you in the back in broad daylight RINOs. They are not our Republicans and we are on to them and sick of their traitorous spineless way.
The author is also misses another point. The political classes are about controlling the spin, the narrative, the talking points. The dems had a whole machine to do this and the RINOs were happy to go along to get along. Trump attacks and attacks and attacks. And keeps throwing turds in their punchbowel. What has exhausted them is their effort to control the spin, but they have lost the initiative.
They could have a point, and if it were fair, Trump would probably be considering it. But this is not about the public good. They are about power, or serving power, and they lost it. They totally and utterly lost it. If they are exhausted so be it.

At some point, when it becomes certain that those with the power and authority won’t act, it becomes OUR responsibility. We the People. If the time comes I believe I’ll be present and accounted for.

Which could be interesting and a foreshadowing of things to come should the conflict escalate to real and physical.
Trump knows how to bait them with one or two tweets and they lose it like a two year old having a temper tantrum because they were told something they didn’t want to hear.
It takes a great deal of energy to create a lie and work to get people to believe it! The leftists have done nothing but lie since Trump took office. Soon they will be dropping like flies.
Livers near there and skated at that rink as a kid. he made a big point fixing it.
