Let’s talk about your family’s responsibility to you, and your personal responsibility to reduce your weight, before talking about your right to force society to pay for your health insurance.
Eliminate pre-diabetes, type 2 diabetes and poor diet choices, and we probably reduce health costs by HALF. The level of obesity here is shocking, scandalous. It is a national emergency, if there ever was one. I am not sure how to solve it, because any government intervention will be twisted and the money re-directed away from real health into social engineering on one hand, and profiteering on the other.

Perhaps, however, what is your enforcement mechanism? Also, how do you prevent the obese from voting? Also, fat shaming is a big no-no to the SJW’s who will vote in tow for any policies denying what they consider to be “unfair” to the obese/fast food junkies. This stuff is not as simple as it may seem. Every angle needs to covered and strategies in place to counter circumstances that rule the day.

Sadly, a very effective societal tool to discourage self-destructive behavior has been tossed aside, in fact condemned.
It cost nothing, but was extremely effective in promoting health, happiness, and the general welfare.
Anyone want to take a guess?
