You have every right to Walk into your doctors office or hospital and whip out CASH to pay for their Services, just Like I do!!! I should not be forced to pay for your Personal Choices that mad you Obese and Unhealthy. I believe in Darwin, suck it up and enjoy the consequences of your actions.

That would be financially difficult for hemodialysis patients. Chronic care is a tricky financial subject (Insurance companies need to be profitable to maintain existence) as well as hospitalization for acute care for that matter. Fee-for-service is not economically viable for a good size percentage of citizens due costs that can't be controlled (Unless rationed/services being cut). Government involvement is only part of the equation with cutting costs. Other factors, mentioned above, along with labor costs for providers who are heavily trained as well as the technological advancements drive up the price too.

I was self employed my entire life and paid cash for my healthcare I also found that paying cash was much cheaper than what insurance companies were being billed!! When I reached the age of 60 I got a part time job at a major grocery chain for health insurance, I have been very blessed as far as my health is concerned I attribute that to working very hard and ALWAYS being active!! To many people today are severely over weight which creates health problems throughout the body, the insurance companies should not make healthy people pay higher premiums for people who sit on the couch stuffing twinkies down their throat on a regular basis!!!
