1994: The year I stopped caring about baseball.
IMO...
Baseball needs a major upgrade for the 21st century.
many don;t have the patience or the attn span anymore.
maybe institute a “shot clock” for pitches.
A timer for innings change overs.
Some sort of 3 pointers for home runs.
Blocker in the base lines
Water traps/ alligators between 3rd and home..
Anything!! Just speed up the pace and get more excitement in there!!
But after 1994, baseball was back on top!
1995: Atlanta Braves end postseason failure, finally win a championship
Mid ‘90s-Early 2010s: New York Yankees back on top; the rise of Derek Jeter
2004: Boston Red Sox end curse
2016: Chicago Cubs break curse
Baseball has done wonders since 1994

Same here! That strike turned me off to baseball.
And Krapperdick and the reaction to him did that for me for football.
Now I’m pretty much cured of the addiction to all the “opiods of the people”- which includes TV, movies, sports... Life is so much better.
I’m left with one addiction - FR.
Games are getting longer too. I can just check ESPN, I don’t have time for MLB anymore.

Same here, I believe that was the year they had a strike and did not play the World Series. Making all that money to play a kids game!
I pretty much gave up on baseball when they stopped making pitchers have to bat.
Somewhere in the mid 80s I quit caring about sports.
Yep - can’t remember the last time I watched an inning, much less a game...
