If the Democrats want to win under these hypothetical conditions they need to get more votes in moderate and conservative states - thereby carrying more states.
Too bad they don't have even one moderate or conservative they can run as a candidate.

That one didn’t actually go to the House, but rather to a commission that decided which electoral votes were legitimate.
As I recall the commission had 5 House, 5 Senate, and 5 SCOTUS members.
That’s different from no candidate receiving a majority of electoral votes.
