Trade, immigration, health-care policy, jobs and the economy these are the political issues over which elections are often decided. But as of now, policy is taking a backseat to personality.
President Donald Trump is the biggest 2020 election issue for small business owners across the U.S., according to the CNBC|SurveyMonkey Small Business Survey for the third quarter 2019. A combined 53% of small businesses see the election as a referendum on Trump.
Twenty-nine percent of business owners said keeping President Trump in office was their No. 1 election issue. Twenty-four percent said voting President Trump out of office was their priority.

This keeps getting reported as if it’s a surprise or something.
President Trump has it in the bag already.
Our focus really needs to be on the Congress. Really. The White House is a lock, so let’s put our time, money, and energy where it’s needed most.

As was the case in 2016, immigration is the only issue that matters. Lose that, and you lose EVERY other issue pretty quickly.

Trump has given business owners the most favourable environment to operate in history.
The TRUMP BOOM is no accident, it is a result of the genius economic policies of our President.

29 > 24, even without the 10 point trump bump that every poll seems to miss.

If you’re one of the 21% of business owners that want Trump out of office, then you deserve to have your business fail.

Twenty-four percent said voting President Trump out of office was their priority. Never would have thought that 24% of small business owners are total idiots. They must be among the 20% of small businesses that fail each year. No other explanation.

What is CNBC selling?
They are selling an “anti-Trump” agenda.
How so?
Of the “Trump is the issue” data it is fairly evenly split between those favorable and those unfavorable towards Trump yet with both of those groups combined representing about half of all small business owners and the other half representing those who apparently think Trump is the top issue, either way.
So the entire premise “small business leaders see Trump as the issue” is a phony.
