I believe you missed the thrust of my earlier post.

The President would do well to dip into the pool of patriots that frequent this web site.

THESE are the caliber of people he needs - smart, gutzy, resourceful and best of all - a damn the torpedoes attitude.

I make my point by looking at the results of picking people who already have political ties or baggage or are afraid or willing to sell the country down the river for 30 pieces of silver.

Speaking to the McConnell issue - that is very telling about who we are dealing with and what the future holds if we don’t nip this in the bud. It is very close to spinning out of control.

Couldn’t agree more. Only issue I have is the resistance from the professional politicians and the career bureaucrats that think they’re better than everyone. Neither you nor me rise to their “level of competency”, in their feeble minds, so we must not be any good. If you’d like to see that in full effect, look no further than the US Dept of State.

Your solution or my solution to problems are easy and simple. Their solutions are complex, ambiguous and difficult to implement and because of that, they have to hire 14 of their former college classmates, make them Deputy Director to the Under Secretary to the Assistant Director and no one does anything but schedules meetings and when nothing is accomplished, they blame the lowest person on the totem pole and ask for more money.

The President tried to implement a policy to get rid of folks like that and the courts overruled him. Wonder how many people know that. Wonder how many people, who can’t stand the size and incompetency of the federal government, are willing to step up and support the President in that effort by calling their Congressfolks to press that issue. The courts shouldn’t and were never granted that much power. They’ve allowed to usurp it, but we can get it back if we wanted to.

I can give my 2 minute solution to school security...the National Guard working in conjunction with local sheriff’s and police departments. Wouldn’t cost the taxpayer a dime they aren’t already spending.
