The thinking is that there has never been a civil war when the poorest are the most likely to be the obese and generally have smart phones to entertain themselves.

When has there ever been any sort of sustained civil unrest when at least one faction involved wasn’t really concerned about starving?

Ok, thanks. I think I see what you are saying. We cannot have a French Revolution if the sans coulottes have plenty of bread and circuses.

However you only obviate that particular characterization of, or type of social collapse. Can you comment on other possible paths to the tragedy of losing our country and constitution of course assuming or granting for the sake of argument that there is no possibility of seeing those starving mobs?

IMHO FWIW we will have a currency collapse and fight and lose another war by negotiating a face saving peace treaty. The bill of rights will exist only as a meaningless document, a shell of words that no longer protects anyone. The point of no return has already been passed long ago, and our discussion is an academic exercise.
