A Democrat seeking the party's 2020 presidential nomination faced sharp criticism on social media Saturday after linking that day's massacre in El Paso, Texas, to President Trump's rhetoric.
Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., one of nearly two-dozen Democrats hoping to block Trump's bid for a second term in the White House, made her remarks at a labor forum event in Las Vegas.
“The individuals who do the shootings are responsible," Klobuchar said, referring to mass shootings such as the one in El Paso that left 20 dead and 26 injured, "but I do think Trump's rhetoric has fueled more hate in this country.”
Klobuchar also pushed for gun reform legislation on Twitter.
"Today innocent people—families—went to that mall in El Paso," she wrote. "Some of them never came home. The U.S. House has passed common sense gun safety legislation. It is long past time to pass it in the Senate. The question to ask: Whose side are you on? The NRA’s or the people’s."

Before he went nuts, Glenn Beck drew over a million people to the Mall for a peaceful assembly. It seems like people may be ready to follow a charismatic leader.
She is no Hubert Humphrey. Humphrey never showed this level of arrogance. In some ways he was closer to Reagan.

I’d like for her to quote what President Trump has said that,
“fueled more hate in this country.” Specific, verbatim quotes with a source and date.
O’Rourke said, “He is a racist, and he stokes racism in this country...” Again, I’d like for him to compile a list of “racist” things President Trump has said with a source and date. O’Rourke also said, “... you’ve had the president call Mexicans rapists and criminals.” Since President told the truth, would O’Rourke object to President Trump telling the truth by saying, “Blacks are rapists and criminals.” How about if President Trump continued to tell the truth and said, “Whites are rapists and criminals. How about, “Asians are rapists and criminals.”
The point is, rats toss words like ‘racist,’ ‘criminals’ and ‘rapists’ so much that the words have lost a lot of their meaning. Especially when the throw the words out there without any proof of waht was actually said.
