And this is just Purdue. Imagine what could happen if the model were replicated at every other university. Of course, there might not be $90,000 for fake Indians to teach a single course while they built a political base to run for office . . .

Not to be sarcastic....but duh....u.s. And state and county and city governments and private companies and healthcare orgs...need to do same. Can you believe it...purdue cut furniture expenditures by...gasp...repurposing older furniture instead of buying new....who’d a thunk it?

As an observer from a neighboring state... I might not agree with Daniels on every single political issue, but I do on many, and he has proved a quite able and sensible Governor and now Purdue Pres. Cool guy!

Well, my Dad was a Purdue alum, so what can I say? The old war cry?

“Hail, Purdue!”

There isn’t anything that should keep them from adopting an allowance for people to study on their own and giving them credits for demonstrable mastery of subject material

Had Purdue instituted a budget freeze or cuts as well?

If not....

From last month. See the very last paragraph....

Trustees sign off on Purdue budget, eighth year of frozen tuition

Looks like math ain't their strong suit.

Harvard has over 38 or 39 BILLION Dollars in endowments... yet it still charges nearly 50k for tuition and another almost 20k for fees and room and board.

They LITERALLY could operate on their endowment earnings, and not charge a single dime of tuition ever again....

Oberlin has NEALRY A BILLION in endowments, but is claiming it can’t pay a judgement of under 40 Million.

These places are scams anymore... and people fight to be taken advantage of.
