It's referred to as the apple capital of the world by some (others say it's Wenatchee, WA).

I love apples. Hard to beat a freshly picked McIntosh or Cortland. They have to be freshly picked in order to be crisp, though. It doesn’t take like for them to get mushy.
Seems like most of the cherries in Michigan supermarkets come from Washington....or at least from the “Pacific northwest.”
I thought outside of Seattle most of the rest of Washington was center/right. Sounds like Yakima isn’t.
