Something I didn’t know was that artists doing New Deal(1930s) art work were forbidden from doing magazine covers and illustrations for publishers.

The mindset of the era was that jobs were scarce and needed to be rationed to everyone.

Painting over this art is just sick. You'd think they could be content with hanging drywall sheet or even a piece of plywood over it and painting on THAT.

Someday, a future generation might appreciate it
