My ex-brother in law was so drunk one night that he passed out and ran his truck into a tree on the side of the road (totalled it). It was only a few blocks from his house so he walked home and slept it off.
The next morning he called the tow truck (who automatically call the police when a car has gone off the road) and, of course collected the insurance on it.
He told them a deer ran in front of him. It was a rural area.
