Outside of metal it makes no sense to recycle.

Much of kraft linerboard (brown cardboard) uses some recycled pulp. Boxes can be readily baled and shipped back to paper mills for reuse. However, wood fiber looses strength when repulped, so virgin pulp has to make up most of the mix.

What happens to all of the non-biodegradable plastics that are just thrown in a dump?they stay there for millions of years.
All plastics should be recycled.I just read recently that waste plastics can be converted to fuel oil.We should use it.

( The world is going to the dogs.)
Political cronies generally own fake recycling companies and other “green” companies that get fawning admiration but return far less in value (and in some cases negative value) than they soak up from the free taxpayer money fountain

That, and using ground glass for paving material and shredded tires for playground surfaces.
Paper recycling is especially silly. Waste products from the production of virgin paper helps make the heat needed to produce the paper. Recycled paper needs oil or gas to generate the same heat.

If any Freeper lives in an city with a high Hispanic population, I suggest you go to your local City Council meeting and ask if they have a sewer jetting program. They will. Then ask for a list of streets in the high Hispanic population area and find out how often they have to jet the sewer mains that run through there. I guarantee they will be jetting those on a weekly or every two week basis because of the amount of grease and fat they use to cook with. If they don't jet, then the grease and fat will congeal to the pipe and become almost impossible to remove. This causes back up and property damage
