President Donald Trump’s popularity with the general public has been wobbly, but his standing with business continues to be strong.

Small business owners in particular remain high on the president’s pro-business agenda of lower taxes and deregulation, according to a survey released Tuesday by Wilmington Trust.

The survey of more than 1,000 privately held businesses taken between May 24-June 14 found that 59% of respondents “strongly or somewhat” approve of the way the Trump administration has handled business-related issues. Also, 53% said the administration’s policies have had a positive impact on their businesses, while 46% say their confidence has increased since the 2016 election. Those positive results come even though just 39% of respondents identified as Republican, with 30% independent, 26% Democrat and the rest not sure or preferred not to answer.

An entrepreneurial Democrat is one which build a political machine or a private lockup which they fill by getting a judge buddy to send people there for petty crimes. We had a former county commissioner here who bought an abandoned downtown building here and signed the county to a 20 year lease of it for added county office space. Very entrepreneurial!

We have a governor who became a millionaire selling furniture his factory made to the state government in Harrisburg. We are supposed to worship at his feet because he works as a governor for NO SALARY! Isn't that entrepreneurial?

My experience with obams economy and Trump’s.

Pre obams, I got a business license to buy wholesale, by going to their place, paying $25, the man signing the app .. done.

After 3 years, I let it expire.

4 years ago I took my app to get a business number again. Their laws under obams said I could not have one to buy wholesale... I had to have a separate building to do anything with a license. I could not even sew in my own home.

I told her what I thought and who made it that way... And I’d sew anywhere I wanted. And wait till some sense came along.

Classic cases of cronyism. Sure takes the risk and needed innovation out of being an entrepreneur.

All the people working for small businesses have gotten a lesson over the last 2.5 years on the advantages of low taxes and lower regulations from their company’s owners. Don’t think those employees are going to be voting for the Democrats.
