From my experience (n=1), young Goldens can be little land sharks. Not mean, just love to bite things. My wounds did not start to heal until the bite inhibition training started to take hold.

My rescue retriever mix loves to play bite, he gets excited and wants to play and grabs you if your not careful. He acts like a big puppy, When we first got him from animal services he was 42 lbs, now he’s 87 lbs. and not fat. Yesterday we took him to the Vet because he started limping. The Vet said the reason was that he was having growing pains. Oh boy. When I was a kid I always wanted a pony. Looks like I’m going to get my wish. Think “ Marmaduke” ! 🐕
