Replace Drones w/ Manned P3 Orion planes w/ fighter escort stay in international air space and see if they shoot at us again. If so you eliminate that threat of an anti aircraft SAM by laser guided bombing of SAM & Radar bases, avoid civilian areas so end result is that you eliminate 90% of their air defense on their southern border.
F22 & F35 (prove itself?) stealth planes followed by carrier based F18s should do the job

Trumps response... tweeting about his decision not to strike just before stocks open...will give it bump and he’ll brag about record breaking numbers. This mornings tweets alone should really get him re-elected.
The only argument I have here is target selection.
Americans are very direct about announcing their intentions, and selecting obvious targets that they are most concerned about, which give their enemy a lot of time to prepare.
However, in the British army, when some punkish rogue attacked them, they would always respond indirectly, hitting targets valued by the enemy, but not directly related to the original aggression. It was very effective in keeping their enemy off balance.
So, for example, if America wanted to emulate this, instead of going after AAA radars and missile sites, it might instead target an Iranian submarine or hydroelectric dam, and do so with “plausible deniability”.
That is, their submarine just disappears, or their dam just catastrophically collapses.
We might even use the opportunity to create animosity between Iran and another one of our enemies, like China or Russia.

I’m glad he’s waiting to verify exactly where the Drone was when it was shot down. We need to have the International Community confirm this as well in that way we won’t be in the wrong. Trump has to make sure it’s a correct response.
You phrase that as a negative; I see it as a positive. Along the lines of in order to love others you first have to love yourself.
