Lockheed Martin chief executive Marillyn Hewson said Friday that she’s thinking about ways to keep her company’s Sikorsky helicopter factory in Coatesville, Chester County, open because President Donald Trump asked her to.

“@POTUS called me today to discuss the pending closure of our Coatesville PA operation. We had an open and constructive conversation and I agreed to explore additional options for keeping the facility open,” Hewson said in a social-media post.

Lockheed Martin spokeswoman Callie D. Ferrari confirmed her boss’s statement and said the company has nothing to add.

The company had told 465 workers it plans to close the plant by the end of this year.

Where are the RATs when it comes to saving American jobs? Yeah, nobody can find them either. They’re all too busy trying to impeach the president!

STRATFORD — Sikorsky will build six production VH-92A Presidential Helicopters under a contract from the U.S Navy.

The company said these helicopters are part of the 23 aircraft program of record for the U.S. Marine Corps.

Sikorsky will begin deliveries of six VH-92A helicopters in 2021. The remaining production aircraft will be delivered in 2022 and 2023. The contract also provides spares and training support.

I can picture the conversation. President Trump: "Do you ever want to win another defense contract in the next 5 1/2 years?"

LM CEO: "Maybe there was a miscommunication, Mr. President. We weren't going to move the plant out of the US, we were making a veiled threat to the workers that we were going to close the plant...unless they increased their productivity. We are staying put no matter what, Mr. President."

President Trump: "That's what I thought you were doing."

From Wiki..."In 2015, United Technologies Corp. considered Sikorsky to be less profitable than its other subsidiaries, and analyzed a possible spin-off rather than a tax-heavy sale. On July 20, 2015, Lockheed Martin announced an agreement to purchase Sikorsky from UTC for $9.0 billion. Final approval (from the Chinese government) came in November 2015. The sale was completed on November 6, 2015."

How in the world did China enter into this?

It’s really bad, PDJT going to bat to save the jobs of American workers instead of selling them out.
