Robert Mueller could be subpoenaed in the next two weeks (maybe)

Nadler’s comments at the Tuesday meeting were his clearest remarks to date on the possibility of compelling Mueller’s attendance at a public hearing. The committee is still negotiating with Mueller, who, according to Nadler, is thus far only willing to answer lawmakers’ questions in private — a nonstarter for most House Democrats.

The sources cautioned that the committee has not settled on a timetable for a potential subpoena to Mueller. Speaker Nancy Pelosi hosted the meeting, and four other committee chairs were in attendance.

On Wednesday, Nadler told reporters that he was “confident” Mueller will appear before his panel, and that he would issue a subpoena “if we have to.”

6 Jun: The Hill: Key figure that Mueller report linked to Russia was a State Department intel source
By John Solomon
In a key finding of the Mueller report, Ukrainian businessman Konstantin Kilimnik, who worked for Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, is tied to Russian intelligence.
But hundreds of pages of government documents — which Mueller possessed since 2018 — describe Kilimnik as a “sensitive” intelligence source for the U.S. State Department who informed on Ukrainian and Russian matters.

Why special counsel Robert Mueller’s team omitted that part of the Kilimnik narrative from their report and related court filings is not known. But the revelation of it comes as the accuracy of Mueller’s Russia conclusions face increased scrutiny...

Mueller doesn’t show he is too much to lose. Plus he doesn’t know was in his own report. Weissmann wrote it. The guy has lost more than a step. I think his so-called friendship with Barr is going to get really tested

Did you deliberately write People instead of Politico as the source or was it a mistake?

Mueller will be dragging his feet every step of the way to not testify. How would he be able to memorize 400 pages of text written by Andrew Weissmann? His only chance in front of Congress is to pull off a Lucy Ricardo earpiece/hidden microphone caper.

Does Nadler really want the Republicans asking the tough questions of Mueller?

I hope so. I expect more “discrepancies” will be discovered in the coming weeks in the report. That is what happens when you try to massage and when necessary omit facts to fit a predetermined outcome.

When your opponent is destroying himself you don’t get in his way! Mueller knows he would bet put to utter shame and expose his lies and treachery on the witness stand under oath.
