A Hindu (?) at the Head of a Pan-Lutheran Agency. . .
LIRS (Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service) is excited to announce the appointment of Krish OMara Vignarajah, former Policy Director to First Lady Michelle Obama, as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective February 13, 2019....
Krish is exactly the kind of once-in-a-generation leader LIRS needs right now, said LIRS Board Chair Bishop Michael Rinehart. The selection of Krish is an embodiment of the Lutheran commitment to be a church for the sake of the world. Today, we have the opportunity to extend and embrace the gift and energy of a leader who came to this country as one of the most vulnerable.
Krish has been Policy Director for Michelle Obama, Senior Advisor at the State Department under Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Secretary of State John Kerry, and a lawyer and university professor....
Again, do not interpret my comments as anyway suggesting that the problem lies with Krish. It lies with Lutherans who talk the talk about the church, about Christ, about the Gospel, and then leave the leadership of an agency whose job it is to do those things in the hands of a non-Christian. So either there is not much Lutheran anymore in Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Resettlement Services OR the agency has become merely an arm of the government, using government and other grant funds to do government work. I am not sure which is true or if both are true but it does leave a question where an explanation point should be. . .

I, for one, am still looking in the Constitution for it...
Many (I think most) official charity organizations of the institutionalized denominations are Marxist.
The Frankfurt School set out to infiltrate all institutions, and that emphatically included seminaries.
Yep. Actual fascism.
I had a feeling things were going rapidly downhill after Lutheran Brotherhood changed its name to “Thrivent.” The term “thrive” being a big far left-lib fad word at the time, it signaled to me that there were termites in the belltower. Recall the Thrive T-shirts the libs used at one of their funerallies. The excuse then was to broaden the appeal beyond the church.
When the Somalis were first brought in they were rural Christian ones persecuted for their faith back home, legitimate refugees. When nothing bad happened though, because, after all, the first wern’t radical muslims, it lent cover for the import of the drug addled zealous nasties that had persecuted the first group.
I am sorry to tell you a couple of things
- Missouri Synod lay people vote hardly any differently from the general population. President Harrison has stated essentially this- something like 48% of congregants vote for people like Hillary Clinton
- The synodical radio station is currently running LIRS ads
- Various prominent synodical people threw in with feckless creeps like Bill Kristol and Ben Sasse when Trump was fighting mightily to beat Clinton. He continues his fight against such corrupt individuals with lukewarm at best support.
- The synod is ambivalent at best about repealing the Johnson Amendment. Apparently it has gotten pretty comfy not to have to speak much about some issues from the pulpit. When was the synod growing? Before or after Lyndon Johnson’s evil little amendment?
The pastors listen too much to the money men and the lawyers.
Thanks for weighing in, Dr.
Obama-fied Hindu huh!
They are not only cleaning out the coffers they are making a mockery of Lutherans and Christianity.
and we all know: God will not be mocked.
Hindu “Krish” replaced the corrupt individual referenced in my post #32,
They had to find someone FAST after that scandal broke! So they settled on a Hindu. LIRS worships globalism more than our Triune God!!!!
Taking someone from sub-Saharan Africa and plopping them down in 26-below-zero Minnesota can’t be seen as a favor to many of them.
Apparently goes by various names? Krishanti Vignarajah
