Yeah, I was gonna say - Yes, they are being manipulated by insane taxes.

I will say this, though: Where I live (KY) the price difference between regular and premium is, on average, roughly $.50. I only get premium at Kroger because the difference is $.30, but at some stations it can be as high as $1.00. I was in California two summers ago and I saw the difference was only about a dime.

I guess it’s just all expensive there. :)

Actually CA no longer has the distinction of highest gas taxes in the Nation.... The lovely R’s in PA took that title away a year or two ago now.
