Note that they don’t also care about messed up girls invading the boys’ spaces. No mention of anger that girls are invading boys spaces and teams.

They are upset for superficial reasons, namely they are losing trophies. They aren’t upset because, 1, its wrong regardless if its a messed up boy OR girl, 2, that its bad for either gender to be forced to have to deal with this crap, and 3, its exposing boys to the perfect false rape/false charges scenario and that maybe care a bit about the possibility of young mens lives being destroyed by that for a change.

Name a sport in which girls have an inherent athletic advantage over boys, and we can talk. There aren't any. Here and there, one can find a very athletic girl who plays boys baseball or soccer, usually because her school doesn't have a girls team in that sport. I've seen a few cases in club soccer as well, where the girls team at a certain age level has folded but a couple of the girls want to keep playing. In such a case, it's not unusual for a boys team to make space for them. Some of these girls are reasonably competitive at a rec sports level, but the overlap at highly competitive levels is virtually zero. Teams can make accommodations for the occasional individual case. No girl is going to join a boys team and dominate and, more importantly, no girl is going to enjoy an inherent advantage by virtue of being a girl.

Then you've not coached girls who have had to compete against boys, then. You've not listened to how they see how imbalanced it is and are told to sit down and shut up (using more colorful language much of the time) and that what they think, Just doesn't count. You've also not listened to those who are forced to share those spaces and how icky, creepy, and downright upsetting it is.

Nothing like forcing a generation of girls who don't support this travesty into non-existence because they are forced into silence (since school isn't a bastion of freedom of speech but groupthink) and being upstaged by a swinging third leg who thinks they are a girl. Yet if the same girl is forced to share a toilet with a guy claiming to be a woman, like at Target, those here cheering would be up in arms over it.

The hypocrisy here bugs me greatly.

So you know what? When you guys do want to actually listen (including to the girls who are conservative leaning and pro-life) and take what they say of value - or how they are forced into silence into this mockery, then I might listen.

'Til then it's just more chest beating and blather from those who don't give a d* for anyone except themselves.

I think you are wrong. I think normal women are quite concerned about men’s personal privacy, and the dampening effect women competing as men have on men’s sports. (I read recently about a young man who chose to forfeit a wrestling match because was too much of a gentleman to fight a girl.) I don’t know why, when people comment on the injustice that young women athletes are experiencing, that people like you have such a chip on your shoulder and make it about men, or assert that women do not care about men’s rights. That is just not true. Why can’t we address one injustice at a time? Why must it always be about men, always about men? Why can’t we focus on an injustice to women, discuss it, decide what to do about it, rather than deflect and bring up some other issue? Or at least put it in the context of dealing with the injustices done to both, rather than point a whiney accusing finger stating *%#! you, it is all about, and only about, me!

This act will also make it illegal to try to get the kid the help they REALLY need in figuring out their gender dysphoria. (There are a whole bunch of underlying common factors - anxiety, socially awkward, autism, ocd, social contagion, etc.) Nope - all it will take is the person saying they believe they are the opposite sex, and they “are”. That is already the case in many states. A kid can go see a doctor the first time, say they really feel like a boy, and get testosterone on the first visit!

In this “equality act” - it isn’t just that one can declare that they are the opposite sex. They can declare that they are a different race, nationality, religion, etc. and they MUST be treated as such. It is crazy!
