In the case of South Africa, you can NOT peacefully vote them out. Those in power inevitably will not surrender (because it is their ticket to jail or worse) what's in their hands.
If you don't teach our young that "freedom is … never more than a generation away from extinction (Ronald Reagan)" and instead encourage total reliance on the Collective WE. Where do the future generation know what they've never had in the first place?
Socialism is the hotel california. You can check in any time you like but you can never leave. The problem is that the people at the top of this centralized authoritarian government get accustomed to the perks. They will do anything and shed any blood to remain in power. Because the alternative for them is to be hanging from a lamppost in front of their palace.

It’s true - when fascism rears its ugly head, it does get overthrown. Communism? Not so much. Jean Kirkpatrick pointed this out back in the 1980s.

Whoever said you can vote your way into Socialism but you’ll have to shoot your way out had it spot on.
The real problem is that socialism exists as a *theocracy*, a religious government. Socialists are very comparable to Muslims, in that while the majority are “moderates”; but all that word means is that they will not *personally* engage in extreme acts of violence at others, though they *personally* support such acts by extremists.
And it is the extremists in Islam and socialism that act as the enforcers of violence.
But as with theocracies, there really is no way to settle down their fanatics, other than with bullets.
From this point of view, what the Chinese are doing to their Muslims, putting them in reeducation camps, etc., is not as evil as it sounds on the surface, because the alternative is a slow moving civil war that could last for a century.
Remember the blood bath caused by the Democrats the last time they made civil war against America. If socialist theocrats ever decide to conquer America it is going to be a huge problem to root them out of society before they can wreak havoc.
It sounds unreasonable now, because now, as then, most of them are Mensheviks. And it should be noted that when the Bolsheviks get into power, they first thing they do is slaughter the Mensheviks. Before they turn their nation into a living hell.

It appears that Maduro has very deep and very durable support from his people.
We always get into this trap - we only talk to the 5% who would benefit from a globalist takeover and alignment, they use us to get rid of some local leader, and then they can't manage, or even survive, without US occupation.

These well-to-do people are tricked/brainwashed into believing socialism is a better form to take care the poor and the less fortunate.
Therefore they mistakenly think themselves MORE compassionate than conservatives, and which (belief) gave them a moral superiority than the rest of us.
I know he has been deservedly pilloried here on FR the past few years, but I stumbled onto a 2.5 hour YouTube video that Glenn Beck has done on the dangers of socialism. Just dropped a few days ago. He really was in his pre-meltdown form and it was very good. Something that should be on national television, really.
The Conservative will point to South Africa and Venezuela.
The Liberal will say that don’t mean that, they mean more like Denmark or Norway.
The Conservative is not armed to give the crushing blow to that argument, because it’s racist. The Scandinavian models have held it together as long as they have due to being homogeneous populations and having high degrees of social trust and cohesion. Those factors will not exist in a multicultural democracy by definition. ALL politics are identity politics. The closest you get to Sweden or Norway in the United States is 1960’s Minnesota.
Socialism destroys risk and reward. There is no sense in busting your ass at work when the bastard next to you shows up drunk and sleeps half the day and gets the same pay. Probably more, because he NEEDS more because he has a “disease” and 4 kids and you are healthy and single.

I used to watch Glenn Beck on FNC, he’s very against the creeping socialism into the American mainstream, he was also alarmed about the Deep State.
Sure there were quirkiness then but nothing like the past few years where he went into the deep end.
Once one has been programmed that in order to survive, one has to be a parasite, it becomes a habit and a way of life for both the masses (moochers) and the leaders (looters). It requires breaking the habit and accepting responsibility for one's own existence, which most leftards don't know how to do.
Propagandists sell Socialism to the young by promising that embracing Socialism will usher in paradise on earth. They point out problems (and every society has problems, due to the fact that society is filled with a diverse set of people, some of whom are mentally ill, criminal, incapable, etc.) and claim that all of those problems will magically go away if we only embrace a socialist system. Some young people have critical thinking ability which enables them to resist the socialist siren song, but others who are innately emotional and have never had any training on logical/critical thinking fall for it. They genuinely do not understand propaganda or how they are manipulated, and have no clue that the freedom they take for granted will evaporate as soon as their socialist "paradise" comes into being.
