The DemocRATS want to get credit for the infrastructure improvements but, from listening to Schumer, they want Trump to come up with the means to pay for it. In other words the RATS get credit for the good things and Trump gets the blame for any pain.
Trump wont fall into THAT trap being set by these snakes.

The civil engineering lobby has joined with the unions to win another potential windfall. As for crumbling infrastructure, anybody ever heard of maintenance? Something wears out you replace it. What else is new? Anybody heard of a trillion dollars worth of collapsing bridges lately? Airports that you can no longer land at because the runways are too potholed? Cities deserted because the water mains have all collapsed at once and cant be fixed? Me neither.
Let me spell it out crumbling infrastructure is a BS meme that has been used for decades to squeeze money out of stingy legislatures. Dont mean squat.

He should have made them account for the last $2 Trillion in stimulus spending.

...and not even 1/4 of that for border security.

They want most of it as illusory, wasteful “green” jobs and want it paid for by revoking the tax cuts.

Wait the story says that they don’t have the money but are planning it anyway and will pay for it over 10 years. The border wall was “we don’t have $5 billion so go to hell.”

Yeah roads and bridges, wink, wink.
These pork barrel laden bills are only titled this where they are nothing more than taxpayer robbery for the lobbyist and DC RATS.
Lies, lies and more damn lies.

He should have made them account for the last $2 Trillion in stimulus spending. Or the ⬅️$3 Trillion for the Iraq War. Or the $1 billion per week we still spend in Afghanistan

It’s times like this that make me really appreciate the fact John McCain is dead.
At least we don’t have to listen to him flapping his jaws endlessly about bi partisanship opportunities with the Dems.
It’s times like this that really make me appreciate how much the MSM must truly miss McCain.

...and not even 1/4 of that for border security. Border security and immigration reduction are campaign promises only, never enacted policy.

I guess that is the incentive approach for Dems to make a deal.
It is a lot of incentive, but I still doubt they will actually make a deal - unless it is a complete surrender by Republicans.

That’s only half of it.
There needs to be real upgrades.
Not just busy work that neither changes nor improves anything, like was done under Obama’s stimulus package.

could be a mistake:
Pelosi has dozens of new Democratic House members who won in competitive districts, said Shuster, and they need to be able to go home next year and say theyve accomplished something.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
they agreed to try to agree. this really doesnt seem like that big of a deal to me . . . Yet.
