Over the weekend, while on the never-ending tour for her new memoir, Becoming, Michelle Obama launched a bizarre new attack on Donald Trump, but ended up taking on millions of American fathers as well -- earning her some well-deserved scorn from all sides.
Obama actually compared the President of the United States to a "divorced dad" whose very presence makes his kids "sick."
Needless to say that did not go over well with divorced dads who love their kids, nor many women who admire them.
In an "interview" with liberal TV host Stephen Colbert, Michelle tried her hand at comedy, with disastrous results.
Colbert tried to cue Ms. Obama to a joke about Trump they obviously had rehearsed in advance. America is like a teenager.., said Colbert hoping to jar Michelles memory.
We are a teenager, we talked about this, said Obama pointing at the late-night funnyman. And we come from a broken family. Were a teenager, you know, laughed Michelle. Were a little unsettled, you know, having good parents, you know, is tough, said Michelle as she struggled to remember her lines. Colbert looked frightened.
Sometimes you spend weekends with divorced dads, you know, it feels like its fun but then you get sick. Thats what America is going through, were kinda living with the divorced dad, chuckled Michelle. The crowd waited until Colbert pretended to laugh his butt off, then they laughed not fully understanding what was so damn funny to the two Americans on stage.
