Sorry if this has been covered before but I did a search in FR and didn't find anything. I'm looking for fact checking sites that I can believe any suggestions or comments would be welcome.
Try FreeRepublic.
There are none. Do your own research come to your own conclusions. Anyone who has explicitly gone into the news “fact checking” business has done so for the purpose of altering public perception of facts to fit an agenda.
Your choices are a) be your own fact checker; b) accept that you’re never really going to know unless you were there yourself.
That is a nope on snopes.
Good luck with that.
Be sure to share your findings if in fact you somehow manage to find something.
Snopes should be at the bottom of any rational list. They are blatant liars.
NONE of the “Fact check” sites are trustworthy. Most are run by Soros operatives, the DNC, Clinton lovers, 0bama lovers or a combination thereof.
Jack:
Trust no-one.
If you follow that simple advice you will live long and prosper (trust me). ;-)
The natural disposition is always to believe. It is acquired wisdom and experience only that teach incredulity, and they very seldom teach it enough. The wisest and most cautious of us all frequently gives credit to stories which he himself is afterwards both ashamed and astonished that he could possibly think of believing. - Adam Smith, Theory of Moral Sentiments (1759)
Such a site is inherently propagandistic in nature, and thus inevitably leftist in orientation.
Them closest thing to it on a quasi-conservative level is Newsbusters.
