That shooting is less than 2 weeks is it not? How can they even have legislation put together and passed for that?
I’ve been trying to find that out myself...outside of administratively reclassifying semi-autos from A-category (general long arms) to E-category (military-style semis), and perhaps ordering the police to halt processing/approving sale of them, I can’t find that an actual “ban” has been passed into law yet.
Rumor I hear is that people are grudgingly accepting the re-class but balking at outright ban/confiscation/forced turn-in. Whether that makes any difference, remains to be seen....
Like our libs they have these laws already written. They’re just waiting on the right situation to invoke them.
