Congress doesn’t nominate Federal judges; the President does, subject to confirmation in the Senate by simple majority. Left wing activists aren’t likely to nominated by PDJT as they were under Obama, and if they were, the still-majority Republican Senate would not vote to confirm.
Push for confiscation comes in the form of legislation; the House has already passed a huge gun grabbing bill which is guaranteed to be either DOA in the Senate or be vetoed by the President.
Now, if you mean there are lots of liberal Obama appointees out there who will eagerly sign Red Flag warrants to confiscate guns from fingered citizens, then yes, that is a clear and present danger.
The House could conceivably invite them to testify as to their eagerness to confiscate, with a pep talk from the Waddler or Swalwell or AOC or the Hijabi Bitch, but that’s the extent of their influence over judges, which would also be an unseemly corruption of judicial independence under Separation of Powers.
