I’ve told this story before on FR but will repeat.
A Muslim guy in our dept at work died unexpectedly.
Bunch of us went to the mosque for a memorial service.
One of our number was an uppity Hispanic chick with a real attitude.
At the mosque they told her she had to remove her shoes, put on a head scarf, and remain in the back of the building because she was female.
She went off on those guys (in Spanish) and it was hilarious.
They didn’t know what to do with her.
There’s a limit to how far my ‘respect for the dead’ will go. I’ll go a little ways but not too far.
How stupid can New Zealand leaders get! Or are they doing all this because they’re scared there will be retaliation if they don’t?????
I would never put put scarf on...ever! To a Muslim it means you are submitting to Islam.
Oh I bet they knew what to do with her....there were just to many people around to witness it.
